Lloyd Swartz
CEO, Owner
Lloyd Swartz founded My Auction Addiction in 2011 Lloyd had spent nearly 20 years in the rough and tumble construction industry focusing on commercial construction and innovative retaining wall solutions, concrete, and masonry work. The down turn of the construction industry in 2008 meant it was time for change. Lloyd had began his entrepreneurial experiences with small businesses by age 11 and has since participated in a wide range of industries including construction, retail, mining, whole sale, restaurants, entertainment and more.
From Lloyd's diverse business experience's, he decided to create a business model with in an industry focused on certain values, including low overhead, flexible hours, strong industry growth, high technology involvement, high profit margins, and high quality of life for his family while serving very real needs of the community.
Lloyd's intention from the start was to create a system in which other entrepreneurs, with limited resources could prosper working from home. Lloyd enjoys innovating, helping and teaching others.
In his free time, Lloyd enjoys time with his wife Esther and 2 boys. You can find his family rafting and four wheeling in the Mountains and Canyonlands of the Western US. Lloyd also volunteers for a wide range of charities and discovered the Snowy River Cave System in 2001 in Southern New Mexico. He also develops off grid subdivisions for people looking for the "Adventure property of their dreams"
Esther Swartz
VP, Owner
Esther co-founded My Auction Addiction with Lloyd, where she plays a pivotal role in marketing, sales, staff training, administrative tasks, inventory management, and pickups. She is passionate about supporting others in achieving their goals and navigating life's transitions. Through My Auction Addiction, Esther fulfills her desire to assist people while also contributing to her family's financial well-being.
Originally from Colorado, Esther's strong work ethic is evident from her early start at age 12. Throughout her career, she has consistently climbed the ranks, gaining diverse experience in floral shop operations and management, retail, money management, inventory control, warehouse management, and administrative and marketing support within the medical industry in Colorado, where she worked for 16 years and managed staff. After meeting Lloyd in 2008, Esther relocated to New Mexico. She briefly paused her work in Colorado, then was rehired in a remote capacity. During that time, she assisted Lloyd in launching and managing My Auction Addiction while also being a stay-at-home mom. In 2022, Esther transitioned to full-time work at My Auction Addiction, focusing on management and marketing, and is on track to assume the role of president.
Esther remains connected to her Colorado roots, cherishing outdoor activities such as skiing, mountain biking, hiking, climbing, and enjoying campfires. She is dedicated to her family and loves seeing her boys learn and grow. She is also committed to her business, and finds great satisfaction in helping others with their moving, downsizing, or estate sale needs, customizing each sale to meet the unique requirements of her clients.
Marina Doerfer
Office Manager
Marina and she has been working for My Auction Addiction since July 2020 and possesses a comprehensive understanding of our business operations. Her expertise in turquoise, old pawn jewelry, and precious stones is exceptional, and she consistently shares her knowledge with our team to ensure the best possible service for both clients and buyers. In addition to her specialties, Marina is also knowledgeable in Native American pottery, jewelry, and textiles.
Marina ensures that our consignment spaces and pick-up room are well-maintained and organized, which makes our open office pick-up days run smoothly. She is a dedicated and caring individual who consistently goes above and beyond for everyone. She is always the first to volunteer her assistance and frequently helps with pick-ups and small inventories whenever we need an extra hand.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, Marina brings a unique perspective and vibrant energy to our team. She enjoys baking treats for us and ensuring that everyone feels cared for. With a background that includes spending time with artists and musicians, Marina is also an avid animal lover. You'll often find her volunteering her time and resources to assist others and support meaningful causes.
Marina is an outstanding individual, and if you're ever in the mood for an engaging story, she's the perfect person to seek out!
Jennifer Trujillo
Field Manager
Jennifer's contributions to My Auction Addiction since she joined our in September 2021 has been outstanding. Jennifer has navigated the challenges of the estate sale business, including the post COVID-19 pandemic and tremendous growing pains we had when she was hired, demonstrating resilience and a commitment to growth. She consistently seeks to expand her knowledge and shares her expertise with colleagues.
In January 2025, Jennifer was promoted to Field Manager. In this role, she continues to excel in estate projects while also mentoring and training our team.
Jennifer possesses extensive knowledge in rocks, minerals, fossils, and gemstones, and has developed expertise in vintage and antique glassware, Native American rugs, and various unique items.
Jennifer is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for our clients, and enjoys discovering treasures that enhance their sales.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her passion for rock collecting. She is also a fan of Supernatural, Edgar Allan Poe, and all things Halloween.
Kevin Swartz
Field Manager
Kevin came to our rescue and joined our team in the spring of 2023. He relocated from Texas to Albuquerque to support our growing business alongside his brother, Lloyd. Since then, Kevin has emerged as a natural leader, and many in the office affectionately call him the "work dad".
Kevin consistently demonstrates a willingness to help others. Whether it's answering questions or providing support, he is always ready to assist in any situation. He takes excellent care of our team, ensuring everyone is comfortable and has the resources they need.
Kevin's diverse background includes experience in restaurants, large-scale construction, and retail at Home Depot, giving him a solid knowledge base in tools, hardware, vehicles, and equipment. He has also developed a keen interest in antique and collectible coins. Kevin excels at guiding other team members, offering leadership and support whenever needed and makes sure we all have lunch or a snack to keep us going strong throughout the day.
Raised in a small town near San Antonio, Texas, Kevin enjoys football, basketball, a good BBQ and beer, and playing percussion at his desk.
Mike Swartz
Associate
Mike also came to our rescue in 2023 when the business grew faster than we expected and jumped right into learning the business. He is a hard worker, dedicated, and works as quiet as a mouse. You will find him always helping others wherever he can.
Mike picks up on things very quickly and he too has a good knowledge base in tools, construction items & equipment, cars & trucks as well as very familiar with firearms, weapons, camping & outdoor gear.
Mike enjoys spending quiet time at home, but loves a good dose of heavy metal and classic rock n'roll and won’t miss a good concert. He loves the great state and his home of Texas, is a bit of a gear head and likes to find a good lake or river to drop a line into.
Tim Pesavento
Marketing, Social Media, & Associate
Tim joined My Auction Addiction in August 2023 and has since become an invaluable member of our team.
Tim's creativity is unmatched. His engaging and colorful writing style made him the perfect choice to oversee our newsletter and social media marketing in 2025. Tim has a remarkable ability to highlight the best aspects of each sale, ensuring our clients' items are marketed effectively.
Beyond his creative talent, Tim possesses extensive knowledge in a variety of areas. He is our resident expert on antique, vintage, and modern photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, and accessories. He also knows a great deal about musical instruments (especially guitars), firearms, and watches. His ability to assess and repair watches, distinguishing authentic pieces from fakes, is truly impressive. So when you don't find him at the office working on marketing our sales, you will find him in the field inventorying a project or adding items to our website.
Tim is always ready to help and share his unique knowledge. His positive attitude and sense of humor create a great atmosphere for our team, bidders, and clients.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys long walks on the beach, spending time with his cat, and spending time with his incredible partner (who doesn't love long walks on the beach).
Alex Ackerman
Associate
If you haven’t met Alex, you are in for a real treat. Alex joined our team in January 2024 and often jokes that she's our "personality hire," and it's easy to see why. Alex brings an incredible attitude and contagious smile to everything she does, with a wonderful "can-do" approach that helps her overcome any obstacle. She consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic, always striving to do her best. Alex doesn't hesitate to jump in and get the job done, and she's always willing to volunteer to help others.
Although Alex was new to the estate sale business when she started, she has quickly become a valuable asset. She works diligently to improve her skills every day. She takes great care in photographing items and moves quickly to complete each project, ensuring it shines, all while keeping team spirits high.
Alex truly brings a unique energy to our team, and we're all thrilled to have her. She's especially passionate about discovering hidden treasures in homes.
